The Gaythering Storm
By Richard Armagnac • Apr 24th, 2009 • Comment • Category: Sexual PoliticsDid you hear the news? A storm is coming. And it’s gonna be raining men, ya’ll! So a bunch of not-gay people — all of them victims of gay marriage — are building a Giant Gay Repellent Umbrella. Okay, so maybe they’re not actual victims of gay marriage, just a bunch of snarky actors pretending to be victims of gay marriage and the oncoming deluge of gay rain and lavender lightning bolts.
The original Gathering Storm ad has inspired so much ridicule I almost feel sorry for the homobigots. Did you notice the lack of real grassroots outrage over recent same-sex marriage victories in Vermont and Iowa? Their numbers are dwindling.
