So everybody’s talking about Michael Lucas grandstanding at the GayVN Awards and his ongoing smear campaign against Brent Corrigan.

I won’t bother rehashing the particulars since you can find all the gory details at every other porn blog, but one comment from Lucas is worth highlighting.

While at the GayVN’s Lucas called famed gossip columnist Michael Musto and had this to say…

“Remember Brent Corrigan, who forged his birth certificate and lied about being of legal age? He did porn videos when he was 17 and basically sent the owner of the company to jail. Well, I’ve been trying to stop him from being in porn ever since. Tonight, he was supposed to present the first award at the GayVN’s. But I talked to the producers of the event and made sure he didn’t. He was just canned.”

Actually, “the owner of the company” (pictured in the above mugshot) got sent to jail long before he met Brent Corrigan because this “sainted” porn producer had a taste for underage boys.

Back in 2001 Bryan Kocis, the murdered owner of Cobra Video, was arrested for videotaping a sexual encounter between himself and a 15-year-old. Kocis pled guilty to one count of “sexual abuse of a child.” Some time later this charge was reduced to “corruption of a minor.”

But no matter what the legal definition is and no matter what excuses Kocis and his apologists have made, the man was arrested for making what most reasonable people would consider child pornography! There’s no getting around that. And now Michael Lucas, in his selective anger against Brent Corrigan, is sticking up for a man who videotaped himself fucking a 15-year-old boy.

Lucas would have us believe all this media whoring is about his desire to stop child pornography, but I’m calling bullshit. First of all, it’s extremely hypocritical for Lucas to vilify Brent Corrigan considering he tried to hire him back in 2006. But there’s something even more out of whack about Lucas’ anti-Corrigan smear campaign when you consider that he’s completely absolved a 40-year-old child rapist of any wrongdoing.

If Michael Lucas is so passionate about preventing kiddie porn he needs to stop making excuses for a porn producer who was dumb enough to hire a teenager who looked much younger than his 17 years while he was still fighting a child molestation charge from an earlier arrest.

Is a zero tolerance for producers who’ve been arrested for child sex abuse really too much to ask for?
