Johnny Rey (RIP: 1963 - 2006) was active in the adult industry in the early to mid-90s, working as both an actor and a director. He won two GayVN Awards, including Best Actor, for his role in the ambitious musical porno Romeo and Julian: A Love Story. Known for his mercurial personality, Rey’s feuds with other porn personalities — such as Chi Chi LaRue — were legendary. (According to his ex-boyfriend, Dino Phillips, Rey was diagnosed as bipolar.)
