Two-time Playgirl cover model Charles Dera has been conquering the straight porn industry for the past year and a half. Now he’s about to be crowned with a high profile appearance as the late King Leonidas in the eagerly anticipated (and long delayed) big budget Ninn Worx_SR feature The Four — set to hit stores in August.
Think of it as an unofficial pornographic sequel to Frank Miller’s homoerotic swords-and-sandals flick 300. As the trailer illustrates, director Michael Ninn meticulously recreates the state of the art FX and distinctive visual style of the Hollywood original.
The army of 300 half naked hunks has been replaced by four scantily clad female warriors — all widows of the fallen soldiers — lead by Leonidas’ vengeful wife Queen Gorgo (Brea Bennett). But there’s no shortage of male eye candy. In addition to featuring Dera as Gerard Butler’s pornographic dopplegänger, The Four also stars frequent Playgirl Video performers Reno and a perfectly cast Marco Banderas as the God-King Xerxes.
Grant it, Charles Dera doesn’t have a whole lot to do — aside from fucking Brea Bennett senseless in a flashback scene. His character is already dead by the time the story picks up where Miller’s bloody tale ended. But it should be watchable for those of us who aren’t into girls if only for the Dera footage.
