Semen First Class
By Julian Kay • Mar 31st, 2008 • Comment • Category: Gay Porn FlicksMaybe this is how Popeye got his nickname. Sorry, but the tacky puns practically write themselves. They’re calling it the cum shot that nearly blows Josh Weston’s head off. How apropos that the cum soaked trailer (posted below) for Falcon’s Fleet Week, a movie about seamen, would be punctuated by so many spectacular eruptions.
First Colby McKnight opens wide for a salty splash. Then Josh gets his eye pasted shut by a splosh of man milt. And finally Erik Rhodes is left with a mouthful of Jude Collin’s briny boy batter dripping off his tongue.
Well, shiver me timbers! An oral cum shot in a Falcon video? While cum eating has remained a staple on gay porn sites and at smaller studios, since the early ’90s Falcon Studios has been a “no swallerin’ place.” You could always expect any ravenous cocksucker to zip his lips just as soon as the other guy’s balls start to twitch.
Since one of gay porn’s most influential studios is doing it, does this mean the oral cum shot is officially no longer taboo? Probably not. Don’t expect Chi Chi or Titan to start doing it anytime soon. In recent years, however, A-listers like Lucas Entertainment and Bel Ami Studios have let their boys lap up the cream.
Some have suggested that Falcon’s lapsed moratorium on the oral cum shot is a sign that Falcon will be slipping bareback into its repertoire sometime in the very near future. (Not a totally unfair assumption since Falcon cast Josh Weston after Weston started doing bareback for another company.) I suppose this is a valid concern since ejaculating in the mouth raises the risk of HIV transmission during oral sex — an otherwise low risk behavior.
But wouldn’t this concern be a non-issue if the HIV status of every porn actor was known? Testing is mandatory in straight porn, and a positive test result will get you blacklisted. But gay porn actors, unlike their straight counterparts, aren’t tested at all. I don’t understand the rationale for not testing.
Anyway…
Now that Falcon is lifting its ban on the oral cum shot, maybe we’ll finally start seeing more real blowjobs. By “real blowjob” I mean an oral sex scene that ends with the cocksucker bringing a guy to orgasm using just his mouth. Like this old school example of a blowjob from the Fox Studio classic School Daze. None of this business where they stop and jack off for the money shot. If a cock sucking scene ends with something other than an oral orgasm, it’s not really a blowjob; it’s unfinished business. In real life, no man would even think of interrupting a good hummer so he could jerk off. Why do we keep seeing this in porn?
I’m one of those freaks who likes to see just a teensy bit of realism in my fuck films. In real life blowjobs sometimes end with one guy cumming in the other guy’s mouth. In real life some guys get off on licking their partner clean after they finish sucking him off. Let’s face it. Some people are turning away from major studio releases because they find the overly choreographed sex scenes tepid. Injecting a little realism — a spontaneous orgasm or two — would be a good way to turn up the heat. Get Fleet Week and other Falcon DVDs at 50% off when you join FalconXXX.com!

Julian Kay rates about a 5 on the Kinsey Scale, which makes him perfectly suited for his job reviewing gay, bi and (occasionally) heterosexual adult videos. Even though he has a backlog of over a hundred titles in his personal collection, he would greatly appreciate recommendations. You can contact julian through the email below.

I don’t get it. Chi Chi LaRue says she edits out oral cum shots when they happen by accident, and she says no when guys ask to do it on film. This is something the actors do, but we’re not allowed to see it. Has there been a major outbreak of orally transmitted STDs? If this sort of thing is going on behind the scenes, how unsafe could it be?
I’ve seen posts about this on other sites. Everybody’s all like “how dare they do that!” But frankly, I don’t understand the outrage. I watch porn for the sex. I’m not looking for role models. Just because I see something in porn doesn’t mean I’m gonna run out and try it myself. Matter of fact - I see a lot of stuff in porn that I would never even consider doing. Like spitting into another man’s mouth. Or sucking off a stranger’s cock through a gloryhole. (Not that I find gloryhole blowjobs unsexy or anything. It’s just - I would never do that - no matter how much money you gave me.) I don’t eat ass either. And I would never expect another guy to do that to me because that sort of thing seems disrespectful. Ass eating is all about making another guy eat your shit - and that’s just gross. But ass eating is in every gay porno. Can’t you get STDs and other diseases like hepititis from doing that? And can’t you get herpes and gonorhea from sucking dick without a condom? Even if you don’t swallow?
All these drama queens who are up in arms over oral cumshots remind me of all those morbidly obese bible thumpers who lecture people about ‘having respect for god’s temple’ to make people stop drinking or having sex - even though their destroying god’s temple (aka they’re own bodies) by overeating. These fat religious pigs would never protest McDonalds - even though McDonalds food destroys god’s temple - the human body - by causing heart disease - because these fat pigs like eating at Micky D’s too much. To me it seems like these outrageed porn fans are reserving their outrage for stuff they don’t like. If they happen to be into it, they can find an excuse that makes it ok.
